Amcest Selects CheckVideo by Cernium to Bring Intelligent Video Alarm Verification to Central Stations

Leading alarm monitoring firm to integrate CheckVideo for enhanced security and operations

Reston, VA – March 25, 2010 – Cernium Corporation announced today that Amcest, one of the nation’s leading alarm monitoring companies, will provide Cernium’s CheckVideoTM intelligent video verification solution to its dealer network. CheckVideo will augment Amcest’s monitoring services to include intelligent video filtering and video alarm verification.

CheckVideo transforms the way that central stations monitor and verify alarms by performing real-time analysis of monitored video and presenting critical visual information to security monitoring personnel. Seamlessly integrated with central station automation software, CheckVideo is a hosted solution that cost-effectively incorporates advanced video analytics and web-based video management functionality while taking only minutes to configure, deploy and maintain.

“Cernium is excited to join forces with such a respected industry leader as Amcest,” said Craig Chambers, president and CEO of Cernium. “We look forward to working with them to demonstrate the power of CheckVideo to change the economics of video monitoring.”

“CheckVideo provides the alarm industry with the first intelligent video-based RMR program that is both affordable and easy to install,” said Fred Rosenfeld, president of Amcest. “We evaluated various video verification products over the past year and found CheckVideo to be the most reliable and cost-effective solution for both dealers and the Central Station.”

With CheckVideo, central station operators are alerted to specific events, such as the presence of people or vehicles at specific times and locations, helping them to differentiate between false alarms and events of interest. The solution also integrates with alarm panels to permit sensor-based alarm verification. As a result, CheckVideo not only reduces false alarms but makes operators more efficient by allowing them to respond more effectively to situations that require their attention the most.
